UWI students to protest

UNIVERSITY OF THE WEST INDIES STUDENTS will be taking to the street outside the Cave Hill Campus to protest the beating of fellow student Toni-Ann Foster. Tomorrow, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., the Guild of Students will be leading the silent protest by the bus stop next to the entrance of the campus on University Drive. They are also calling on students to boycott the ZR in which the incident allegedly took place last Friday while Foster, a 24-year-old Jamaican law student, was en route to Bridgetown.... Foster said while her assailant punched her in the face, no one helped her except her friends who screamed at the driver to stop the van.Source:

UWI Students, the professional protesters. I have ridden on ZR vans many times and i never get cuff in my mout yet. I guess I never did the right things... next time i gine try spitting in another passenger's eye and see what happens.. you know, just for fun. I hear de man get in, she blista de man for squeezing she and not saying excuse, then de man cuss she and drive he elbow in she guts and it start from there. So, based on that, the obvious person to blame is the van driver and boycott the van! Makes sense obviously. Based on that principle, I guess if I bought some KFC, and after eating the last extremely small piece of chicken, I wipe my hand in my new silk shirt and it get greasy, I should boycott Kentucky. I mean, if they didn't sell me greasy chicken, my shirt would still be clean.... then i would ask my supporters to wear Purple and Yellow as a sign of solidarity. But you know what get he vex... de woman accent... 'stinking foreigner' want to come and tell he about how he is to say excuse when he get in a ZR van... play she aint konw de man aint got no manners. Oh well, she would know next time, if you don't want a fat sweaty bad-smelling man rubbing up on you and possibly giving you hepatitus C... walk.
