UWI not responding to businesses needs

The University of the West Indies is not producing people with the skills and resources to help Caribbean businesses expand. That is the opinion of Executive Director of the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business, University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Dr. Ralph Balgobin. He says every year the UWI produces what he has described as a plethora of graduates but they do not fit-in with the region's economic needs. This man like he visited www.schupes.com and was taking notes. Put a bunch of UWI students in a room with other UWI students, and you gine hear all kinda fancy big talk about philosphy and whether the size of your feet really reflect the size of your willy. Put them in the work place... blank. Nothing RELEVANT to say or do. A man do a Bachelors in Computer Science and could tell you everything bout punch cards, what a mainframe is and what kind of underwear Bill Gates wears on Fridays. Ask he to use a USB Key and he gine ask you on which door. Nothing practical within the regional context. Do they even look at the market before they go and study? It's like living in Alaska and studying Dessert Science. Then you end up selling whale blubber and complaining about how you can't find a proper job... buddy, you can't even find sand! Respect to the Polytechnic crew who does learn mechanics, refridgeration etc, things you can use everyday and would never go hungry with. But when 400 UWI students come out with degrees in Meteorology and then want to beg me for a quart, dem betta jump in de wharf and offer me some sort of entertainment for my coppers. 4 years of tax payers money done thru de eddoes... preppy... that's all.. preppy.

*After reading this post, 823 preppy UWI students will stage a protest about how they are being cried down. However, a smater polytechic man gine set up a juice, hotdog and fishcakes stall and make $2,381.43 off de thirsty bastards.
