Education system too fast-paced, says Jones
Yet another polititian who obviouly visits this site regularly. Ridiculous school system that don't give to wuckups about whether the students learn or not. You come to school, some 'teacher' repeats words out of a book... those who take it in, great for them.. those who don't, suck salt. You're 16? OOPS! Time to go buddy... don't mind you are in 5th form and still can't write a gramatically correct sentence, or think the plural of Sheep is Sheepsez. Our job is to take you in, beat the crap out of you for being hard ears, and get you out asap! Oh yea, and tell you that YOU are failure somewhere in between there... it can never be us... our teaching skills are impecable.AN OPPOSITION MEMBER feels the current education system is too fast-paced and is more about churning out children than anything else. In addition, he maintained that children learn no more when they enter school at three-and-a-half than when they do at age five. Christ Church East Central representative Ronald Jones made these charges as he contributed to the debate on the head of education in the 2006 – 2007 Estimates of Expenditure in the House of Assembly on Thursday. "It is not an easy educational system," he said. "I still believe it is too packed, too stacked. It is almost like a production centre trying to get children through the school system as fast as possible." He told the Lower Chamber that fast-paced nature could be contributing to some of the problems faced by those in the system. Not enough time was spent, he stressed, dealing with children who do not perform in certain disciplines. "We are now, in the school system, trying to come to grips with the different learning styles of students within our system," he said. "Not everybody has the kind of cognitive structures to deal with the logic and the philosophy and the Latin, but some people have tremendous ability in other areas." Source:
The teachers should held accountable for students who don't perform... What? 5 students in your class failed again? Bend over... woopax! Don't let it happen again. I think we should start from a basis that every student is capable, and we just need to find the right technique to teach them with. Turn the tables a bit... make the students grade the teachers... Grade F.. he performs poorly, comes to class late, doesn't pay attention to the students' needs and just talks too much. Mek he write 100 Lines: I am a idiot teacher and I deserve to have the students throw paper balls in my face and laff at my tacky hair cut. I also need to stop harassing the young girls.
*After reading this post, 2,293 students will claim to be victims of the educational system. Several test will be done only to show that they were just stupid.
