Learn Spanish 'for future use'
Well, I guess if you can't beat them, conform. Have you ever gone to a website and click that you are from the Caribbean? Quick so you are transferred to a Spanish page. How many places in the CARIBBEAN actually speak Spanish... Puerto Rico, CUBA, Dominica Republic.. err.. uhh.. umm... Well, you might as well learn the Spanish since the English, Dutch, French speaking Caribbean is usually bundled with Latin America. Try calling Dell one of these days... To continue in English press 1. Para continuar en Espanol, mark dos. Ok... I press ONE... great. Man answers the phone... Buenos Dias, Dell bumble mumble wakiity wakkity booby booby yak yak yak... YOU HOLD ON BUDDY! I pressed 1 for ENGLISH. Then the SAME guy begins to speak this broken excuse for span-glish. Thank for Dell calling. May how I help. *sigh* They now teach spanish in primary schools.. that's good. Your english might be horrible, but you got time to take Spanish classes. Her suggestion came during debate in the House of Assembly on four pieces of facilitating legislation which are aimed at providing duty-free market access for Barbadian goods and services in Colombia, Cuba, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic. She linked the acquisition of the second language to the numerous business opportunities available in those Spanish-speaking nations. "There should be schools all over the Caribbean which should teach people to speak Spanish for business; those who have to do transactions who would be able to read it and write it well.
