Barbados basketball bus takes wrong turn
Of all the buses and all the countries, it just had to be little ol' BARBADOS that nearly get car way. Well, if de scatterbrained driver was going to Bendigo, he obviously knew his way around Australia, which means he is just stupid. That's like a LIAT pilot hopping on de plane and tek off towards New York, and then wondering why the plane running out of gas 2 hours later. I guess we are all human and prone to making mistakes... i mean how many times have you gone to the bathroom, and just could NOT remember if you had to stand up or sit down to do a poo? So the obvious thing to do is just hazzard a guess right? OOPS! Well, you'll know next time. Lets hope this isn't something common in Austrailia, or one of their famous swimmers might jump in the pool, swim in the wrong direction and end up winning the race in 3.32 seconds, along with impaling their face and snapping 8 fingers. Speaking of dismal pool performances, did you see the bajan girl who started swimming in Lane 7 and placed 7th? Look, try and start she in lane 1 next time yuh! She might not come 1st, but ast least she will be out of the camera view and the shame will be less agonising. *Required statement of encourangement and support*: I hope this young lady continues and strive for success.... ahem. :)An embarrassing mix-up nearly blighted the opening day of the Commonwealth Games basketball tournament when a bus carrying the Barbados men's team began a trip to Bendigo. The problem was they were due to play in Traralgon, more than 300km away. The Barbados men were scheduled to open the tournament against England at Traralgon Sports Stadium at 6pm Thursday.... But the English could have been without an opponent if the situation wasn't rectified about 10 minutes after the coach carrying the Barbados athletes had left Melbourne. "There was a bus that had the Barbados team on it and they were going to Traralgon," Games Communication Centre spokesman Matthew Nette told AAP.
"But apparently they started heading towards Bendigo. "They only went 10 minutes or so down the road before they realised they were going the wrong way. Luckily, they didn't get very far." Source: news.NineMSN.com.au
