Flyover question

Flyovers on the ABC Highway are once again being debated. This time engineer John Whittingham is suggesting plans for their introduction be reviewed, as he delivered the thirteenth Louis Lynch memorial lecture. Mr. Whittingham says that flyovers, or what he terms gradient separations, should be a last resort. In a presentation entitled traffic trends in contemporary Barbados, the engineer stressed that there's no economic or technical justification for the way government is planning to tackle the traffic situation. He says experts believe that the best method to deal with increased highway demands is to add more lanes, and the current plans just do not go far enough. Source: CBC Evening News

Ahh.. the flyover debate continues. The general view by some is that mauby pockets Government obviously has not given it enough thought and it is more like they are throwing out champagne ideas. Suppose Bajans needed more entertainment... oh I know I know! Lets build a floating DisneyLand Amusement Park in the middle of the disgusting careenage! Umm.. sounds really nice but uhh... lets replace the little jelly bean in your head with an actual brain, just for a few moments, before you are overwhelmed with actual sensible thought. Why is it that they always want to jump to the most extravagant 'solution'? And you know how we does spend money... take the 120 million and build the flyover out of re-enforced STRAW and say we didn't know one cigarette butt coulda do so much damage. I think it would be much cheaper to just go around punching people's tyres... that way you could reduce the number of cars on the road, and also give persons something constructive to do on weekends, you know, instead of fighting outside the Olympus. Tings just bad... after work, make no sense leaving at 4:30 just so you can get home at 7pm. Might as well wait til traffic ease up, and whizz up the road. Less frustration, and you still aint gine miss Days of Our Lives.
Possible solutions... Car pooling? Nah.. bajans does get on too funny wid dem cars... as you start eating a pack of nuts it gine be a noise and somebody gine get curse. Park and Ride? Where yuh gine park? Wuh yuh gine ride pon? Not these UNRELIABLE buses bout hey... no boh, more like Park and Ride and Break Down and Wait and Walk and Rain Fall and you forgot your so and so umbrella in de car. Well, until they find a proper solution we stuck with the same old routine... either get work real early or real late... i wonder which one you would choose.. :D

*After reading this post, 23 persons will be beaten beyond recognition for spilling blueberry snocone in somebody back seat, don't mind de car did stink anyhow.
