Tension among prison officers

THERE IS disquiet among some prison officers and it has to do with "supersession" among their ranks. Twenty-six temporary prison officers, some with as little as five years' experience, have been appointed to the post of Prison Officer II. The appointments have sparked the ire of scores of disgruntled senior officers who were at the former Glendairy Prison and now at the temporary facility at Harrison Point, St Lucy for more than ten years.....

Umm.. when I said that the only place YEARS mattered was in Prison, this NOT what I meant! *Sigh* dem wid this years thing again. So I guess qualifications don't matter? Aptitude & Attitude? What about that old time method called ABILITY TO DO THE JOB! So just because I was cutting cane for 20 years, I should be promoted to oversee the Sugar Factory? What i gine do, chop the cables and pelt dem in the back of a truck? "We were overlooked..", no you weren't! You were looked at long, and laughed at hard. After admin finished holding dem belly in stitches, they buckled down and started to look at the more serious workers. How long was the cheif who let Hall get way working there? If anything, the longer you work, the more mentally impeded you seem to become. Wunna is tuh stop fiddling with the prisoners and try and do some more training. Dem dey for 10 years.. NOBODY aint saying I am better equipped, I work well, I am dedicated... all dem saying is.. 10 years... 10 years... in that case, anybody in prison doing 15 tuh life should be running the place!

*After reading this post, 32 persons will smuggle some razor blades into the prison and they won't be detected, because it will be hidden under a mobile phone buried deep in a bag of weed.
