Melbourne Commonwealth Games Leevan Sands....Three hundred delegates from such diverse countries as India, Canada, Britain, China and Barbados will descend on Melbourne to watch the Games organisers doing their jobs.India, host of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, is sending the largest contingent of more than 100 officials.London, host of the 2012 Olympic Games, is sending about 15 officials while Beijing, which is holding the next Olympics in 2008, has a 30-strong delegation. The Caribbean nation of Barbados is sending five people to garner tips for staging next year's cricket World Cup. Ahh boy... these 5 lucky bastards get an all expenses paid trip to the land down under to 'get tips' for world cup 2007. I bet dem send 1 relevant person and 4 free loaders.. you know.. just work it into the existing budget *wink*.
What did you do and what did you learn?
  1. After shopping in Melbourne Central (and buying nuff nuff panties and bras), we have learnt that we need to shop around for the best world cup deals
  2. After eating nuff and drinking hard, we have learnt that we need to expose our local cuisine and beverages at world cup.
  3. After being paid to go to ozzie, we have learnt that we may learn a lot from FIFA World Cup 2006 in Germany and even some project management tips from how an Alaska Cruise is organized.
Of course you know they will be jet-lagged for 2 weeks before they return to work (yea right.. more like sorting thru the barrel dem ship back home)... i'm just being nasty cuz i'm jealous... no wait.. i'm just nasty.
