Barbados' chances in basketball have been dealt a blow with the announcement that star play Andrew Alleyne has withdrawn from the team.
Alleyne was forced to pull out after his professional team in England, the Brighton Bears, refused to release him for the Melbourne games March 15th to 26th. The former Caribbean MVP is averaging over 16 points a game in the English basketball league. Source: www.cbc.bb
