Bracelet Leading To Illness

GET RID OF that Reebok charm bracelet now. It contains high levels of lead and could cause serious illness. That's the message Barbadians who have the charm bracelets are being told by Reebok International. The company's warning comes after a four-year old died from lead poisoning in the United States. The child allegedly swallowed a piece from one of the bracelets. Since the incident, Reebok International started a massive worldwide recall last month and its president and chief executive officer, Paul Harrington, said on their website that they were "co-operating fully with appropriate regulators, and working hard to fully understand what happened, how it happened, why it happened and – most importantly – how we can immediately take steps to prevent it from happening again".... In Barbados, 73 of the 74 pairs of sneakers imported have been sold by Shoe Locker.
