Adidas support for weightlifting team

A COACH'S PROMISE to reward team members for a job well done has resulted in the Barbadian weightlifting contingent to the Commonwealth Games recently, receiving sponsorship gear from major sports brand Adidas.....
"Since we worked so hard, Andrew promised he would find a way to get sponsorship for us. It is difficult getting gear for weightlifting since it is not a major sport," said assistant secretary Jillian Best. Source: www.nationnews.com

Well here is an Interesting twist of events. Big cyclist get drop, top basket ball player can't come home from England, but the "Weight Lifing Team" gets ADIDAS sponsorship? *blink* *blink* Ok... not making fun or anything, but name 1 person in that team. I teyya, if this Andrew fella could secure sponsorship for a virutally unknown weight lifting team, he should be able to do wonders other sports. Maybe some new Nike gloves for the darts team... Idea! Maybe Suki and Shaka should hire this guy. How much does a kit really cost that corporate Barabdos couldn't sort that out... probably too busy sponsoring Guinness Fetes.. haw haw? I hear Barbados Lotteries talking about Sports, Youth and Culture... more like mekking sport buy encouraging the youth in the gambling culture.

*After reading this post, 84,401 persons will play the lottery... 84,000 won't win a cent, but feel good in the knowledge that there is a very slight chance that their money will help sports in Barbados... after which they will beg a friend for a dollar to buy a drink.
